I really enjoyed filming this with Dave! Really fun guy and we had the best weather for being on the beach. But I cannot get him to take his shoes off and enjoy the sand lol
It was 1982, just off the Yukon river, in Alaska. I was living, trapping, hunting, fishing, gardening and Oh yeah, placer gold mining. Made 30K a year, doing it between all the other things to do. The really amazing part of this story is I still have grandfather rights to that 168 miles of property with it's creek of gold. I let nature have it back, now. I love that land.
@@Oldminerdon I turn 70 in November. Still have the land and sure wish someone had the stuff it takes to go out there and actually live freely. I have a huge motorcycle venue in Wisconsin now. Still an adventurer just without the bears and the wolverine at my back.....I'm a woman.
I love reading your story. Just me. 47.. No wife No kids. I'll rent out my house. Pocket some rent money and live my life panning gold Just me and my big dog. Let me know sounds like a dream. Enjoy your Journey @angelinvocon
HACE TIEMPO QUERIA VER A ESTE MINERO,EL CUAL ADMIRO, QUE BUEN ESPOSO ES.ME ENCANTA VERLO CUANDO ESTA CON SU ESPOSA..DIOS LE DE MUY BUENAS TIERRAS😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏🤲🤲🤲☝️☝️☝️
There's some wood gold there, some of that western red cedar drift wood instead of big rocks for gold big root wads on the beach All that wood was in one place.
The schoolhouse property is still there upriver on the Coquille river.. if your going to site history at least tell it correctly. Im a 3rd gen. Bandonite my grandfather was here in 1914.
My 1st trip to Oregon beach in 2023 weeks drove on the beach during a stormy time and the sand was BLACK. I’m from Texas and thought right away it was GOLD but thought naw ….. damn

Yup. Working for a living being single is a waste of time. I finally started camping and searching myself.
Way to go youtube redirect people searching for full episodes of something they paid for to a bunch of useless clips.
Shoulda went to gold beach.
There's no gold here. move along.
You tell to much
Love Dave Turin but your narration is awful
